  Work Experience

     June 1996 - present:  Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center UMESC

Department of the Interior

Spatial Analysis and Applied Technologies Division, Onalaska, Wisconsin

Web Developer/Computer Specialist:  Multifaceted position that required working with different applications and platforms. Performed maintenance, troubleshooting on PC's along with software installations and upgrades. Worked with a variety of peripherals including CD-R, printers, plotters, tape drives and jukeboxes. Performed archival and retrieval of data from UMESC tape library and ran scheduled back-ups using UNIX commands. Designed, updated and maintained web pages, (see Web page design index below).


Mr. Blink

     1985 - present: Musician - band Mr. Blink

Solo artist and band leader. Performed regularly in several states. Recorded and released five original tapes. Coordinated bookings, handled finances, created promotional tools, and marketing concepts.


     January 1986 - March 1987: United States Postal Service USPS logo

Casual position involving sorting bulk mail for carriers and delivering regular mail to office complex. Also substituted for mail carriers.

    Air Force in Europe gif January 1982 - December 1985: United States Air Force

Electronic Warfare Systems Specialist
Repaired, replaced and troubleshooted electronic systems to the component level on F-4 fighter jets and B-52 bombers. Served two years in West Germany with temporary duty in Spain and Italy. Attended Leadership training course.

Associates of Applied Science Degree in Microcomputers

Studied various applications including spreadsheets (Excel) and database management (Access 95). Other courses include Visual C++ Programming and Network Operating Systems (Novell NetWare 4.1 and Windows NT). Also studied PC Hardware and Maintenance and Technical Reporting.

Studied Interpersonal Communication, Radio and Television Production, Marketing and Journalism. Published newspaper articles in two university publications and freelanced stories to La Crosse Tribune.

Promoted, managed and led 6-piece band. Work enhanced communication, organizational and marketing skills.
Troubleshooted electronic units on Fighter Jets to the component level. Attended Leadership Training Course.
Taught Songwriting Workshop and guitar techniques for LaCrosse School District.  
Chairperson of Soundstage productions, Campus Activities Board.
Published freelance work in local newspapers.  
Volunteered musical services for numerous community events and charitable organizations, including Riverfront Inc., Amnesty International, New Horizons Shelter, Flood Relief-Aid and the Red Cross.
