Center research focuses on aquatic ecology, migratory birds, fishery drug research and development, declining and endangered species, and environmental contaminants. Findings are used by resource managers and decision makers in the Department of the Interior, other federal agencies, states, and the private sector.

The opening page has a random image javascript to display a different globe image when users first enter the site. Mainly a site that brings all the activities concerning Geospatial Technologies in the Biological Resources Division of USGS together.

UMESC IntranetThis site is only accessable with Center IP addresses. When the Environmental Management Technical Center and the Upper Mississippi Science Center merged into the Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center, the Intranet became an important tool that provided the staff (in two buildings - miles apart), a common ground.

Highlights are common documents and forms available for download, Automated Work Request Form and Online Tutorials. Additionally, Real Video of outreach activities and seminars are served.


 

Minnesota Moose Mysterybball_sm.gif Minnesota Moose Mystery

A project of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. I used Arcview (3.0) to create maps of moose locations. Audio and video clips are served.

This site is utilized by teachers and scientists to "adopt a moose" and track its location with bi-monthly updates.

NBII MetaMaker is a metadata data entry program produced by the Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center, Biological Resources Division, U.S. Geological Survey.

The Gap analysis program is a project of the Biological Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey. It is being implemented nationwide with the help of over 400 cooperating organizations, including the private sector, non-profit groups and other government agencies.

This site is my personal site that I created for my band. It contains personal web pages for band members, reviews of music and performances and my resume. The future will bring audio samples and an order form for Mr. Blink products.
